Product Overview
CPVC 90-degree elbows are manufactured from high-purity chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) in compliance with GB/T 18993.2 standards. They accommodate pipe diameters ranging from 20 to 160 mm with an angular tolerance of ±0.5°. operating pressure ≤1.6MPa, temperature resistance -40°C to 90°C, inner wall curvature radius to pipe diameter ratio 1:1.5. Enables 90° directional connections in piping systems with concentricity error ≤0.05mm.
Fitting Characteristics
Tensile strength ≥50MPa, impact strength ≥9kJ/m², resistant to 95% nitric acid and 20% sodium hydroxide corrosion;
Inner wall roughness Ra ≤1.0μm, fluid resistance 30% lower than steel elbows; Oxygen index ≥40%, meeting flame-retardant B1 grade; weight only 1/6 of equivalent steel elbows; no metal ion leaching, hygienically compliant with GB/T 17219.
Manufacturing Process
CPVC resin with polymerization degree ≥1000 is selected. Precision injection molding is performed using a dual-cavity mold (single-step forming of 90° arc), with injection temperature at 195-215°C and segmented cooling at 25-35°C for shaping. Inner walls undergo surface smoothing. Each batch undergoes sampling for 1.8 times nominal pressure hydrostatic testing (30-minute pressure retention with zero leakage). Dimensions are laser-inspected for accuracy (±0.1mm tolerance) before packaging.
Application Scenarios
Chemical Pipeline Systems: Used for 90° turns in pipelines transporting chemical acids and alkalis. Maintains corrosion resistance and stability at 1.6MPa pressure with low fluid resistance, ensuring smooth fluid transfer in chemical production.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Connects turning sections in pharmaceutical clean pipelines. Complies with sanitary standards, prevents impurity leaching, and ensures cleanliness and safety during pharmaceutical intermediate transport.
Electronic Ultra-Pure Water Systems: Meets 90° turning requirements for ultra-pure water pipelines. Features smooth inner walls with no dead corners to prevent water contamination, satisfying the electronic industry’s high-purity water transmission demands.
Electroplating Wastewater Treatment: Connects turning sections of electroplating waste liquid pipelines. Resists strong corrosion with excellent sealing to prevent waste liquid leakage, supporting stable wastewater treatment system operation.
Industrial Hot/Cold Water Engineering: Used for 90° turns in hot/cold water pipelines. Operates stably from -40°C to 90°C with pressure-rated compliance, ensuring efficient and safe transmission of thermal fluids.
Usage Precautions
Before installation, inspect port flatness and inner wall cleanliness; remove burrs and impurities. When bonding with pipes, use dedicated CPVC adhesive. Apply evenly to bonding surfaces (0.1-0.2mm thickness), let stand 5-10 seconds before joining. Do not exceed operating temperatures (>90°C) or pressures (>1.6MPa). Avoid impact to the elbow’s curved section. Inspect joint seals quarterly; replace or rebond immediately if leakage occurs.
